Argo CD up to 1.7.12/1.8.5 SSO Provider cross site scripting

A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Argo CD up to 1.7.12/1.8.5. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component SSO Provider. Upgrading to version 1.7.13 or 1.8.6 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at github.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
