JBoss Management Console up to 7.1.6 cross site scripting

A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in JBoss Management Console up to 7.1.6 (Application Server Software). This affects a function of the component Management Console. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-80. This is going to have an impact on integrity. An attacker might be able to inject arbitrary html and script code into the web site. This would alter the appearance and would make it possible to initiate further attacks against site visitors.

The weakness was presented 03/27/2019 as bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2018-10934 since 05/09/2018. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.

Upgrading to version 7.1.6.CR1 or 7.1.6.GA eliminates this vulnerability.
